I’m looking for a movie. Here are the details I remember:
The movie was released between 1980 and 2000.
Plot: A young man wants to become a hero. To do this, he tries to make a suit and a mask (AFAIR metallic) that covers his face.
He then tries to dispense justice. There’s a gang of unsavory people involved, either hooligans or criminals.
The hero confronts them, but things don’t go as he imagined. He gets badly beaten.
Later, either in the same fight or in a second encounter with the same people, he kills them (either with a knife or a gun).
Afterward, he is tormented by nightmares: the people he killed appear to him in his dreams, as if they have come back to life and are showing him their fatal wounds.
In the end, our hero, exhausted by physical pain and moral suffering, kills himself.
