the movie is about a teen with a passion for dance and an alcoholic mother. She loves to dance and joins a class, where she meets the antagonist.
there is a scene where the main character arrives home and sees the mother sleeping on the couch. when she tries to wake her, she can’t and has to call an ambulance. after that, the mom stops drinking. the mom gets rid of the alcohol and someone (the antagonist and her friends) steals it to fund a party. and the teen thinks it was her boyfriend.
at that party, the main character pours a bowl of punch over the antagonist’s head after she insults her mother. the antagonist pushes her and that is how she sprains her ankle.
she likes to wear combat boots and there is a scene in a doctor’s office where the doctor tells her that she sprained her ankle but it would be much worse if she wasn’t wearing the boots.
the movie is at least like 10-12yo.
