There’s a film where I think it must be a treasure quest. All I can remember is at the end the good guys find the treasure and the bad guy is really close but gets picked up by police and he’s begging to open to the treasure, just to see it

Although I have seen this movie, but I do not remember if the scene you are describing is in this movie at the end, or near the end of the movie, so this is really just a guess, maybe?:
“Red Notice” (2021)

Again, it is quite possible that the scene is not in the movie at all. I have to check it by seeing it, but I am not at home at the moment, so I can not watch how it ends.

In the meantime, I managed the re-watch the ending of the movie, and although the ending is somewhat similar, it is not a perfect match. There is a chest with treasure in it (three huge golden eggs), and the police and Interpol agents arrest and handcuff the bad guy, but the bad guy does not beg the police to open the chest so that he can see the treasure. So, this is probably not the movie you are looking for.
