There is a movie with a professor that has students visit an abandoned house to study effects of a trial medication. They encounter a creature while they are in a sleep state. It is set in Spain or something like that dark movie takes place mostly at night. Creature is specific and has an obscure name, I believe the name of the creature is the name of the movie.
