I saw a movie in theaters several years ago (definitely before 2019), I remember the basic plot but not the name. I believe it’s based off a book if that helps
The movie mostly centers around the aftermath of an alien attack on earth, where they attacked with several various plagues that ravage humanity, one of which was a super deadly virus that killed millions of people. There were a few scenes at the start of the movie (where they were explaining the plauges) where a bunch of kids at school witness the massive ufo in the sky. There was a refugee camp that got invaded by said aliens, and the movie revolves around some of the people that escaped, trying to find shelter and safety. Also had a lengthy romance scene in a broken down car, and a quite bloody action scene on an abandoned road.
