Either a movie or tv episode of a group of people that have to stay in a dead relatives apartment to get inheritance. Relative is not dead but actually on the floor above them with a tek crew running the fake " haunting" of the floor below. It came out late 1990s to early 2000s I think.

… isn’t 13 ghosts… or the 13th floor like I thought once… I’ve been asking for over a decade and no one remembers it. Skyscraper in middle of city. Normal apartment. Floor above it wired up like a computer control center to operate the “haunting” of the apartment below.
