USA movie: sci-fi/thriller: Man has car breakdown, enters creepy town for repairs but can never leave

Hi,

I am trying to identify a movie that I have seen, but I do not know the title. Here are the details that I remember :-

A man driving in the USA has a car breakdown and enters a small town to get repairs. The car requires a spare part that can not be obtained that day. He has to stay overnight in the town (at a motel, I believe). For some unstated reason, the town has a supernatural curse on it that means that if anyone stays inside the town city limits after sunset, they are condemned to never be allowed to leave.

This movie was made sometime in the last 20 years or so, judging from my memory of the cars in it.

Does anyone recognise this movie?

H, Thanks but this is not it. "Dead End" is a French movie. The one I am looking for is an American movie in English.

Hi, Thanks, but this is also not it. There is no blood/horror/gruesomness/violence in the movie that I am looking for. The one that I am looking for was more supernatural/suspense/psycholigical thriller/unexplained creepy forces. There was also no graphic CGI or "sci-fi" visuals. It was just acting and the creepiness was in the "unexpalinable content" and things that did not add up. It was all psycholigical and not at all visual/graphic.

Hi, Thanks, but this is not it. The movie that I am looking for has no horror or bloodletting or savagery or violence in it. It is psycholical in nature, not graphic or gory.
