Trying to find a movie and can’t remember who is in it or what the title is. I have tried googling keywords and can’t find it. Does anyone happen to remember this by chance? I think it was either late 70s or early 80s. A man is in prison and another prisoner tells him about a buried treasure. The guy gets out of prison and goes to this town and pretends to be the guy he met in prison so he can con the town out of money to invest in his treasure hunt. While he’s there he befriends a kid and his mom and shows the kid crazy yo-yo tricks while they are fishing. In one of the scenes he bets someone in a bar that he can push a beer bottle through the handle of a beer mug without moving the mug. Then the guy he bet gets mad after losing $20 and buried the con man up to his neck in sand. The movie ends with a bad storm moving in and it uncovers the actual treasure in the sand dunes. It might possibly be Australian. Sounds weird but it’s a real movie.
