Maybe someone understands which film I’m trying to describe:
A British young man is visiting friends to his family in a foreign country, maybe Germany. It seems that he is a good prospect for getting married into this family. However, when news arrives about his fathers financial problems he is suggested to go home.
The photo is kind in the style with “A Room with a View”, and I think it also is from the the 80’s.
Where Angels Fear To Tread is also a beautiful film, but unfortunately not the one I´m looking for. As I remeber, it was set in the 1920s or 1930s and there was a lot of green grass, rather high spirited interaction between the British boy and some girls from the family he was visiting. Then news arrived that his father was facing bankruptcy, or something.
